DELTA PIANO TRIO
The festival's younger entrants – Trio Mundis and Delta Piano Trio – are rightfully rising stars on the international stage while maintaining their close connection to Switzerland.
In order to strengthen and maintain this bond, the Piano Trio Fest 2021 is planning the Bern premiere of "Quercus", a work by the Lausanne composer Valentin Villard. This piano trio was originally composed specifically for the Delta Piano Trio, winners of the ORPHEUS-Swiss Chamber Music Competition 2017.
A beautiful setting for the matinée is created in E flat major. Franz Schubert's intoxicating Notturno and Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Trio op.70/2 (the sibling of the famous "Ghost Trio" op.70/1), which is unjustly hardly played, brighten the mood on Sunday morning.
