TRIO JENLIS
The music thrives on the search for new sounds and ideas, whether in historical or contemporary repertoire. The protagonists of this evening are the de Jenlis siblings, who adapt the piano trio literature for their unique ensemble, where the harp takes on the role of the piano.
The harmonious interplay of their instruments and the deep connection between the siblings make the Jenlis Trio a truly unique musical experience. This unusual ensemble of violin, cello and harp has a beautiful yet largely unknown repertoire that the Jenlis Trio passionately promotes. In 2019, they expanded their collection with a commissioned work by the renowned Swiss-French composer Karol Beffa.
The trio also transcribes works that were originally written for piano trio and other settings, offering a fresh perspective through their special instrumentation. We look forward to new impulses in the piano trio genre!
